Of note, Mr. Casella successfully represented a husband in said New York State Court of Appeals, (“In the Matter of the Estate of Angela Violi, Deceased”) which defined whether a Separation Agreement was sufficient to convert a Tenancy by the Entirety (real estate owned by a husband and wife) to a Tenancy in Common (separate interest by husband and wife) to the end that the husband was entitled to retain 100% of the proceeds of the sale of the marital residence, where the wife died prior to the final divorce decree. Over the last 10 years, Mr. Casella has devoted much of his time to representing employees who are victims of unlawful employment discrimination, including sexual harassment, age discrimination, gender and race discrimination, and has been successful in litigating these claims against several large corporations and municipal agencies. He has also represented union members in claims against their union for failing to adequately represent them.
